Who we are

Launched in 2014, Diglossia is a global language company dedicated to changing lives by fostering language development and literacy throughout the world.

Diglossia's suite of language assessments provide the valid and reliable data you need to make informed decisions when evaluating language program effectiveness, adopting new curricula, and targeting professional development needs.

Using innovative research and technology, our K-16 assessments address the unique needs of the fast-moving language education landscape. We partner with leading scholars and institutions to serve the needs of native Arabic, Chinese, Spanish and English speaking students around the world.

In addition to our Lexica placement and vocabulary assessments, we are in the process of building the first benchmark tests for Arabic language arts which will test vocabulary, reading, and writing against the World Language Initiative Arabic standards.

Our Professional Development workshops offer onsite, online, or blended solutions to help teachers and administrators stay on the cutting edge of best practices in language assessment.

In addition to serving the education sector, Diglossia also works with employers and industries to provide workforce screening and language proficiency tests in both English and Arabic. As the global economy shifts to support knowledge workers, employers are requiring evidence of language proficiency for hiring, and Diglossia creates custom tests to meet those needs.
